Azereiro, O Rio
O rio Zêzere é o segundo maior rio inteiramente português. Tem um comprimento de cerca de 242 quilómetros desde a sua nascente no Cântaro Magro, na Serra da Estrela até à foz no rio Tejo em Constância. Tem uma bacia hidrográfica de 4995,7 km2 sendo os seus principais tributários os rios Alge e Nabão. Segundo algumas fontes, o nome Zêzere vem da árvore que pode ser encontrada perto da nascente, o azereiro, também chamado de zenzereiro.

Azereiro, The River
The Zêzere River is the second largest river entirely Portuguese. It has a length of about 242 kilometers from its source in Cântaro Magro, in Serra da Estrela to the mouth of the Tagus river in Constância. It has a hydrographic basin of 4995.7 km2 and its main tributaries are the rivers Alge and Nabão. According to some sources, the name Zêzere comes from the tree that can be found near the spring, the cherry tree, also called zenzereiro.
